Cleaning Your Tower Garden Using The Dishwasher

If you took a summer break, it’s time to get your Tower Gardens cleaned up for fall planting! You can start your warmer weather crops in mid-August in north and central FL and mid-September in south Florida. Start the cool weather crops three weeks later!

This is my guide to Tower Garden clean-up using the power of 1 large basin filled with water, an overnight soak in citric acid, and a dishwasher cycle!

Cleaning Steps

  1. Fill a large basin with water

  2. Add one cup of citric acid ( I use this Milliard citric acid from Amazon)

  3.  Soak for 12-24 hours…or for days…whatever

  4. Clean crevices of the tower (I use this Loyuril Crevice Cleaning Brush from Amazon)

  5. Wipe Clean with a Magic Eraser or cloth

  6. Run through the dishwasher on a no-heat cycle!

Here is my before and after!

Happy Cleaning!
