Cheeseburger Salad

Cheeseburger salad is our latest meal prep. It tastes like a Big Mac, and it's so tasty that I just had to share it with all of you!


Salad prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

Type: Salad/Low carb

Ingredients:

Meat:

  • 1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey,

  • 1 yellow or white onion (diced)

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Pepper (to taste)

  • Garlic (fresh or powder, to taste)


Salad:

  • 4 cups chopped lettuce

  • 4 dill pickle spears (chopped)

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, (halved)

  • 1/2 green pepper (diced)

  • 1/4 - 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)


Dressing:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 teaspoon mustard (your choice)

  • 1/2- 1 teaspoon dill pickle juice

  • 4 teaspoons ketchup


Directions:

Chop all veggies. Sautee the meat until mostly cooked, add in your diced onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and continue to cook until the meat is browned and the onions are mostly transparent. Set aside. Make your dressing by combining the mayonnaise, chopped pickles, pickle juice, and ketchup, and whisk until combined. To assemble the salad, add lettuce to a bowl, top with meat mixture, pickle spears, tomatoes, green peppers, shredded cheese, and dressing, and enjoy!
