Tower Garden Accessories

There is a myriad of great accessories that you can use for your Tower Garden. This blog will outline some of my favorite accessories and how I use them!

Water Filter & Treatment

If you fill your Tower Garden with city water, you’ll need to filter the water to remove chlorine and chloramines. One inexpensive option is this filter:

This filter screws onto your hose, and you’ll replace it yearly or when your water smells like chlorine. Upload this document when submitting the filter to SUFS - Tap Water for the Tower Garden:

HOSE

It's important to have a BPA and lead-free hose to fill up your Tower Garden. I love this lightweight, non-kinking hose. It's easy for me (and my children) to manage:

Outdoor Growers

If you're growing outdoors, it's important to have strong and tall cages for cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.  These are generally better quality than what you'll find at Home Depot and Lowe's and are good if you're growing on dirt/grass mulch:

This one is good for concrete/wooden decking:

In a Frost/Freeze Area?

If you’re going to get a freeze and you’re growing frost-sensitive plants, make sure to cover your Tower Garden with a frost cloth! Optional: Add in an aquarium heater set to 68F to keep your plants toasty! Please read my blog post here to learn how to protect your Tower Garden from a frost or freeze.
