Growing Indoors: Should I choose the Tower Garden HOME or the Tower Garden FLEX?

Updated: Feb 12

Did you know the Tower Garden HOME and the Tower Garden FLEX can be grown indoors? Many people grow the FLEX outdoors in Florida during fall, winter, and spring and then bring it indoors during our hot, hot summers! An equal number of people chose to grow a Tower Garden HOME year-round in the convenience of their air-conditioned home.

What's the difference between the two?

First, look at the pictures here so you can see the visual difference between the Tower Garden HOME vs. Tower Garden FLEX:

Here's the FLEX with Grow Lights and the HOME (without the Grow Lights).

Let's weigh the options!

Choice Number One: INDOOR TOWER GARDEN HOME

The Tower Garden HOME is designed to be grown indoors. It cannot be grown outdoors in hot climates. The HOME is a good choice when you want a sleek Tower Garden to grow indoors year-round!

The HOME grows greens, lettuce, micro-dwarf tomatoes, small peppers, small Asian eggplants, and herbs indoors. Tower Garden HOME with lights and a support cage comes with everything you need to begin growing up to 32 plants. It was originally designed for small European doorways and is spill-resistant and easy to move.

With supplies for a year, tax, and shipping, the Tower Garden Home costs about $1240.00, or about $99 a month.

Choice Number Two: TOWER GARDEN FLEX

The FLEX is flexible. It can be grown outdoors when the weather is nice and then indoors when it's not, simply by adding Grow Lights. The FLEX is a good choice when you want (forgive my irony here) flexibility!

The FLEX is larger. It holds 20 large plants, and you can add either the Baby Greens Extension Kit or the Combo Extension Kit to expand it. It's 6" wider than the HOME.

The FLEX with the Combo Extension Kit, Grow Lights, tax, shipping, and supplies for a year cost around $1300, or about $10800 monthly. The FLEX can be grown indoors or outdoors.

I've added planning sheets for both systems here, attached as PDFs. Check them out!
